Close your eyes and think back when you were a little kid, Summer time. Did you go to the beach? Smell the sand and water...feel the warmth of the sun on your face?
I remember when I was 10, 11 years old, Summer Day Camp and they took us to Coney Island. We would freeze out soda cans at night, in the morning wrapped them in news paper and then foil and...bologna sandwiches. There is something about a bologna sandwich that's been sitting in the sun for a couple of hours. That first bite is sort of crunchy because there is sand in everything. I would blow through two sandwiches like it was the last food on earth. Soda had melted but still ice cold.
A couple of months ago I wanted a bologna sandwich but not just any sandwich. The one I wanted to piece together had to have the right ingredients... Mustard, mayo, sweet pickles and a not to spicy bologna. Some people would go with Boars Head but not me. I knew which choice of bologna I wanted and I went after it. Went into Manhattan to the deli but it was closed because of the lock down but the sign said it will re open in the middle of May. So, I have to wait a couple of more weeks.
So what I ate this morning would have to do but in doing so I thought of what I will be eating shortly. Co workers asked how could I eat something like that so early in the morning. Not early, I was up and I get up at 3am every morning so it's lunch time for me really. But I'm going to stick to a strict diet.. When I'm working, one meal when I get home from work. When I'm not working..no less than 2 meals a day and one of my days off have to be a breakfast involved.
I guess my weight has topped off...182 pounds.
