has a beat. Like right now, I'm listening to The Stanton Warriors,
Sessions 3 cd, but its a mp3 on my ipod. This shit rocks. A good track
is Beggin. The cd is continous playing, but the tracks are broken down.
Its a remix cd by the Stanton Warriors with an assortment of DJ's. My
fav, is Precient, and the 2 songs that lead up to it.
I started liking music in the early late 60's. Ralph McDonald's Song of
A Drum, Jam on The Groove. That track brings back memories. That was the
start of all this hip hop rap era we are in now. My taste have changed
over the years growning up.
When I was staioned over in Germany, I was in my rock era. That was the
late 70's. Once out of the Army, I hit the streets of NYC, and caught up
with the hip hop rap stuff. Mostly, I like the crews, songs for their
beats and scratchin'. Now, what I'm into is electronic and trance. I
download A State of Trance by Armin van Buuren every week. That and
along with a lot of other trance bands, groups and DJ's. With a decent
set of over the ears headphones, riding the train has you in your on lil
world, like I'm in now.
Some people are suprised by my taste in music. I don't like, and never
did lik R&B, its not my cup of tea. Maybe its because I never did learn
to slow dance growing up and then later on in my early 20's. A good DJ
can keep the beats come, the tempo moving and the people on the dance
floor. Me, I just bounce around where ever I'm at. Stopping and freakin'
out when the beat catches me. Have you ever had a beat catch you? Oh you
knw when one does alright. Everything is just blaocked out and you swear
that the DJ is playing for you and you only.
One thing I would love to attend is a rave, one that's on a large scale.
10,000 people !!! The closes I can was the first Lalapalooza, that was
for 3 days and that was crazy. Parties all nite long.
