Since I had to take The Long Island Railroad to get to where I had to get to, leaving the same way, I've notice some things. Neighborhoods.
I can see the difference where Queens turns into Long Island. There are a number of differences, one being the obvious, the homes. Mainly its the backyards that come into vision. Mind you, the homes in Queens aren't shabby at all, but you can tell a lot about the people who live in these homes, by their backyards.
Long Island backyards, they seem part of the house, where as Queens backyards, the owners seem to not really carevabout them. Its like they are being used just for storage of all types of things. Long Island backyards...clean, neat, like you can eat of the grounds. Nothing stored, everything in its place.
Another thing, are the streets. Long Island, clean, I mean REALLY clean. Queens, they belong to the city, let the city clean them up. I guess home owners have different views on appearances when it comes to their homes. Pride, its all about pride.
